Don’t Waste The Days

Three days left in 2009.  Just three.  I’ve been looking back at my year here and on my healthy living blog, and have realized it has been an amazing year for me.  I really don’t want to waste the last three days of it doing nothing.

I feel like lately I’ve wasted a lot of days doing nothing productive. I don’t have any freelance jobs going on right now and I’ve been bad about pursuing my own projects with the intensity and dedication they need.  I find myself often watching TV and playing around online instead of writing or looking for more jobs, which I really could use.  I’m falling into the laziness trap instead of working harder like I should be doing.  I feel like too many days have simply passed without me noticing or doing anything I’ve wanted.

So instead of being lazy and wasting today as well, I’m going to make a resolution a little bit early.

I resolve to not waste any days doing nothing.

I resolve to keep working toward what I want regardless of what other people say.

And that is it. Every day I want to work toward the things I want for myself.

What is it that I want to do?  What are my goals for 2010 that I need to work toward?

Goals and projects for 2010:

Business & Money

  • Start a business I can take with me anywhere.
  • Make a full time income from online activities/writing.
  • Knock out my last credit card to be cc debt free.

Travel & Personal

  • Visit New Zealand & Austraila.
  • Move abroad, probably to New Zealand, finally.
  • Finish my 365 project with good photos.
  • Run a 5k, run a 5k, run a 5k.   Seriously, this year.

But really what are these goals?  Just a general guide for things I want to accomplish.  What I really want it to not waste a single day.  No matter what I do or where I am I want to make sure I enjoy the experience and don’t resort back to wasting away minutes or hours doing activities I don’t enjoy and don’t move me forward.  My goal for the new year is to not waste any day in 2010.

    Thanks! I think so. :)

I get jobs sometimes from people I’ve worked/written for in the past. I’ve had people contact me about writing jobs because of my blog. And then sometimes I hunt them down on websites that post freelance writing jobs. Although lately I’ve been lazy about that which is why I’m close to broke. Hehe.

Have you read this blog: http://lifehacker.com/5436821/how-to-start-freelancing-without-quitting-your-job ?

Also, I hope that your 2010 is awesome and that you find a wonderful place to live in New Zealand with a guest-bedroom/pull-out-couch. :)

Well I have now. Hehe. The only problem with that is I would need to actually have a job for that. Maybe I’ll get one?

Haha. I will find a place to live in NZ. I’m hoping for my own room though. :)
