About

Hi. I’m Mary.

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m awesome.

I am a 23 year old who loves writing, traveling, and helping others.  I spend a lot of time online connecting with cool people and exploring the internet.  I’m a blogger and a freelance writer.  I spend most of my days researching and writing content for the web. But you probably already guessed that since you are here reading my blog.

I’ve lived in:  Franklin, Tn; Grantham, NH; Millington, TN; Memphis, TN; Jackson, TN; Salzburg, Austria; Cordova, TN and Ludlow, VT.  I travel a lot but clearly I’m a Southern girl, because I always end up coming back home to Tennessee.  I’m planning to move 8000 miles away in 2010 to New Zealand.  I love to travel and can easily be talked into taking a trip.

I’ve worked for a nonprofit, a newspaper, a cotton museum, a library, a college, a clothing store, a city parks and recreation department, a womens’ weight loss retreat and more recently for myself.  I graduated college with a history degree and writing awards but decided not to pursue that line of work.  Although I love museums and studying the past I’m much more interested in the present and future.  Hence my obsession with the web.

I’ve been blogging for several years on a variety of platforms and now write two personal blogs: this one and a popular healthy living and weight loss blog.   I also write a couple other blogs anonymously. ;)  I’ve been online sharing my thoughts and experiences through blogging since the age of 13 when I got my first computer in my house after many years of begging.

    Why this blog?

I started this blog so I could have a space online for all the stray bits that float around out there.  A home base of sorts since everything I do is scattered across the web.  This blog is about my adventures and the things I know.   Most of the topics I write about are some combination of travel, lifestyle design, and the internet.  I also have a list of things I want to do before I die and the desire to make sure they are all documented.  This blog is a chronicle of my journey to live boldly, experience life without restraints, and be HAPPY.
