Reading

I decided to start reading more once I realized I no longer read much after graduating college. So I committed to reading a book a week and these are the books I’ve read so far this year.

Update: of course this not something I kept up while traveling across the country for two weeks and then getting engaged and the moving to New Zealand. So there is a gap of a few months for 2010, but I’m trying to keep up with the reading!

Handmade Nation – I’m a crafter and lover of all things crafty, just like this book about the craft/handmade movement. (my review)

The Secret – Finally learned what the secret is – the law of attraction. While the book goes a bit over the top, my life is already better for implementing the law of attraction techniques. (my review)

In Defense Of Food – A simple and profound defense of food and guidelines for eating better: Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. (my review)

Rich Dad, Poor Dad – Best lesson from this book: always keep learning.

Offbeat Bride – My wedding probably won’t be this offbeat, but I picked up some really great tips for our awesome wedding. Good read for anyone planning any kind of “different” wedding.
